I am beginning to think there's nothing my air fryer can't cook to glorious perfection. I mean, it can't make everything, but I'll be damned if my air fryer can't outperform my oven and deep fryer for so many recipes.  Simple things like baked potatoes and fun recipes like Air Fryer Okra Fries taste amazing air-fried.  I am addicted to air fryer recipes!

Sausage is one of those foods I never really considered making in my air fryer...until now. I usually cook sausages on the grill or in my crockpot, but I decided to try them in the air fryer and I am so glad I did. Air frying sausages is the best way to cook them.

Air fried sausage turns out golden on the outside and is perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside when they are air-fried. You've got to try it!

How to Cook Sausage in the Air Fryer

Sausage links are so easy to prepare in your air fryer! All you need to do is place the sausages in your air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees, flipping once. It's really that easy! The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your sausage links.

What Kind of Sausage Can You Air Fry?

You can air fry lots of different kinds and styles of sausage. This particular recipe will work for any kind of fresh sausage link. Try making air fryer Italian sausages, air fryer kielbasa, or air fryer bratwurst.

What to Serve With Air Fryer Sausage

Sausage that is cooked in the air fryer is delicious served in lots of different ways. Here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy it:

  • on a sausage and peppers sandwich
  • over rice with peppers and onions
  • chunked in an omelet
  • sliced on pizza
  • simmered in pasta sauce
  • in hearty soups
  • simply cut up with a fork and knife!

What Kind of Air Fryer Should I Use to Make Sausage Links?

You can air fry sausages in a basket-style or oven-style air fryer. Depending on the design of your air fryer and the type of sausage you use, you may experience some light smoking/excess grease dripping when you cook your sausages.
