Cookbook Review: 2014 Taste of Home Annual Recipes

"Whether you're making an everyday meal or a holiday feast, this special cookbook puts the heart in home cooking."

I am a fan of the virtual recipe world (I do write a food blog, after all) however, I personally can't shake my love for collecting and reading cookbooks.  I read cookbooks as a past time and my shelves are brimming with my well-loved recipe collections.

That's why, when I had the opportunity to review the 2014 Taste of Home Annual Recipes cookbook, I jumped at the chance!  It's the perfect addition to my cookbook collection and full of hundreds of mouth-watering recipes that I can't wait to try.

The Taste Of Home 2014 Annual Recipes hardcover cookbook is page after page of your favorite recipes from Taste of Home magazine, all shared by home cooks.

Some highlights include:
  • Appetizers, salads, soups, main dishes, breads, and desserts.
  • Bonus sections of the cookbook that feature weeknight solutions, healthy fare, quick fixes and more!
  • At-a-Glace Recipe Icons that accompany each recipe and note if the recipe is Fast Fix, East Smart, Slow Cooker or 5 Ingerdient.
  • User-friendly Index that lists every recipe by food category, major ingredient and/or cooking method.

There a 19 chapters in all, full of beautiful color photos and lots of hints and tips from the Taste of Home Pros and the home cooks behind the recipes.  I want to try so many of the recipes, like the Loaded Baked Potato Dip, the Creamy Cauliflower Soup with Artichoke Hearts & Bacon, the Upside-Down Onion Bread, and the Toffee Cheesecake Bars (just to name a few!).

I've already tried (and blogged about!) some of the recipes from the book: Garlic Pork Roast, Oven-Fried Chicken, and gorgeous Rosemary Rolls.  They were all fantastic!

If you're in the market to add to your cookbook collection or looking for the perfect gift for a foodie friend, the 2014 Taste of Home Annual Recipes cookbook is a great choice! Visit www.shoptasteofhome.com to get your copy!
