This pepperoni chips recipe is actually more of a method than a recipe. The only ingredient you need to make pepperoni chips is pepperoni!

That means there's no reason not to make this tasty low carb snack. When you bake sliced pepperoni, the oil bakes out of the slices leaving a golden, crispy pepperoni round. I betcha can't eat just one!

How to Make Pepperoni Chips

Crispy pepperoni chips are made by arranging sliced pepperoni on a parchment-lined baking sheet and then baking them for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. See below for detailed instructions.

What Kind of Pepperoni Should I Use For Pepperoni Chips?

This recipe works best with thin-sliced deli pepperoni. You can usually find thin-sliced pepperoni pre-packaged in the deli meat case at your grocery store. You can also get pepperoni slices cut at the deli counter.

Why Aren't My Pepperoni Chips Crispy?

There are several reasons why your pepperoni chips may have not crisped up. If your pepperoni is sliced too thick, if you did not blot enough grease from your pepperoni, or if you did not cook the pepperoni long enough are all reasons why you may not have a completely crisp chip. It's important to note that the edges of the pepperoni will be crisper than the center of the pepperoni round. The good news is that even if your pepperoni chips don't get 100% crispy, they will still taste amazing!

What to Serve With Pepperoni Chips

Pepperoni chips are great served as a stand-alone salty snack, a side served with sandwiches or soup, or crumbled over a salad. You can also try them with a dip like marinara or pizza sauce, pesto, or ranch dip.

Why Are My Keto Pepperoni Chips So Salty?

Pepperoni is pretty salty in general. When you bake the pepperoni and it crisps up, the saltiness will be even more pronounced. If you are a fan of salty snacks, you will enjoy the saltiness of pepperoni chips!

How to Store Pepperoni Chips

Store pepperoni chips for up to seven days in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
