A Note From My Kitchen
There are few things in life more decadent than goat cheese. If you are a goat cheese lover, you know what I'm talking about.
I am definitely a fan and I love to incorporate goat cheese into lots of different recipes ranging all the way from pork chops to scrambled eggs.
For this recipe, I decided to incorporate goat cheese into a creamy, dreamy, cheesy dip. Goat cheese makes the best appetizer dishes and this dip is no exception! I love this goat cheese dip because it comes together in just minutes. It's baked in the oven until it's golden, melty, and absolutely irresistible.
It's the perfect appetizer for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but in all honesty, I could eat it every day!
If you try this recipe, I'd love to know what you think in the comments below. Enjoy!
Happy cooking,
Ingredient Notes
- Goat cheese: A soft goat cheese log works well; a plain chèvre is the best choice for this dip.
- Cream cheese: Use regular cream cheese and soften it so it mixes smoothly.
- Parmesan cheese: Finely grated parmesan is preferred over shredded.
- Pecans: Pre-chopped pecans work, or chop whole pecans at home.
- Honey: Buy any honey you like!
- Olive oil: Use extra virgin olive oil.
- Fresh thyme: Make sure you strip leaves from stems before mincing!
- Lemon zest: Zest only the yellow part of the peel and avoid the white pith.
- Black pepper: I always use fresh ground black pepper.
- Toasted French bread slices drizzled with olive oil: Use sliced French bread or a baguette and toast until golden for a sturdy dipper.

Two Bite Take
"My daughter and I have been getting a baked goat cheese dip from a local restaurant and have been wanting to recreate it. This recipe was even better than the restaurant version!!! I happened to find goat cheese with honey at Trader Joe's so that upped the honey taste which is such a good compliment to the goat cheese. I am so happy I can now make this at home anytime!!!"
