I have a pretty solid pantry.  I believe that a well-stocked pantry is the key to a happy and functional kitchen.  There are a lot of basic items that I always have on hand because I use them so much.  One of the most used ingredients in my kitchen that you can always find in my pantry is honey!  We use honey 'round these parts like it's going out of style.  The good news?  That golden nectar of the Gods we call honey is never going to go out of style.

As a matter of fact, honey even has it's own month-long celebration.  That's right, September is National Honey Month.  In celebration of all things honey, I am super excited to tell you about my new fave honey from Buzz + Bloom Honey!  But before I do, I feel like I have to add a little disclaimer here.

As much as I love honey, the truth is, not every honey out there is created equal.  Sure, the bees do their hard work to produce the honey, but then most honey out there on supermarket shelves is overheated, over filtered and over processed, stripping it of its natural pollens and nutrients before it finally ends up in your pantry.  No bueno.

Real honey has natural pollen in it. That’s why Buzz + Bloom Honey only gently strains their honey, ensuring that it retains naturally-occurring pollen.  That pollen has so many nutritious benefits, why would you want to remove them?  Buzz + Bloom Honey is also packaged at a lower temperature than most supermarket honeys to help maintain the beneficial enzymes and antioxidants that help make honey a true super food.

Basically, Buzz + Bloom Honey gets it.

Here's a fun fact about honey for all of the honey lovers out there:

The pollen found in honey verifies the honey’s floral source and country of origin.  Did you know that?  That's one of the things that makes Buzz + Bloom Honey unique.  Their honeys are sourced from trusted beekeepers in the United States, Brazil, Vietnam, Ethiopia and around the world, delivering an unparalleled and unique taste experience in each and every variety.  So cool, right?!

Gah, honey is so amazing.  And Buzz + Bloom Honey is globally-sourced, craft-style honey, making it super uber amazing.

I like to use honey as topper for yogurt and chia pudding, but if you know me, you know I'm a savory girl at heart.  My absolute favorite way to eat honey is alongside a nice bold cheese.  Sweet, savory, salty all in one.
