Don't be fooled into believing that just because this is a chocolate breakfast it's unhealthy.  Quite the contrary!  These brownie batter overnight oats are made with good for you ingredients like low-fat yogurt, cocoa powder, and maple syrup.  They are full of protein and fiber!

You can even make them a touch healthier by omitting the peanut butter and chocolate chips if you'd like.  Either way, they are a delicious way to start your day!

HOW TO PREPARE OVERNIGHT OATS

Overnight oats are made by combining dry oatmeal with milk, yogurt, a sweetener, and optional mix-ins.  This brownie batter overnight oats recipe includes cocoa powder, peanut butter, and chocolate chips and uses maple syrup as a sweetener.

DO OVERNIGHT OATS HAVE TO SIT OVERNIGHT?

Overnight oats do not have to sit overnight!  Overnight oats need to be made at least 5 hours in advance in order for the oats to have enough time to soften.

HOW LONG DO OVERNIGHT OATS LAST?

Overnight oats can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, making them an excellent meal prep breakfast idea.  The longer they are stored, the more softened the oatmeal will be.
