5 Healthy Lunchbox Ideas

These Healthy Lunchbox Ideas will give you inspiration for packing lunches this year!

Are you ready for back to school?!  This summer has flown by and it's time to start thinking about books and backpacks, paper and pencils, and sneakers and lunchboxes.

This is my little lady's very first year of school.  This Momma's freaking out a little here.  Okay, a lot!

One thing I think we can do as parents to prepare our kids for a great day of learning is provide them with great nutrition throughout the day.  Food fuels the brain!  And my little lady loves to learn and eat.  We'll start with a nutritious breakfast, of course.  Then, I'm hoping to keep her energy up mid-day by sending her to school with healthy, fun, and yummy lunches to help her re-fuel.

Honest Tea has teamed up with Annie's, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield for back to school to help make lunches easier on parents everywhere by creating a site called Rock the Lunchbox that features a TON of lunchbox ideas.

While exploring ideas on what to pack in your kiddo's lunchbox, you can also submit an ideas of your own and download coupons from brands including Honest Kids, Stonyfield Farm, Organic Valley and Annie’s Homegrown! I'm a couponaholic (check out my Couponing 101 section here), so that's a definite plus for me!

Here are some of my lunchbox ideas using the amazingly delish products from Honest Kids, Stonyfield Farm, Organic Valley and Annie’s Homegrown:

Notes
  • When I was contacted to participate in this program, it was a no-brainer for me. First, I love anything free. But, free organic products from brands that I really love? Yes, please!
  • To keep hot items hot (like Annie's Mac & Cheese), pack them in a heat retaining thermos.  To keep cold items cold (like Organic Valley Lowfat Milk and Stonyfield YoKids Yogurt), pack them in an insulated lunchbox with a reusable cold pack
  • Share how you pack a healthy school lunch at www.rockthelunchbox.com for a chance to be entered into another giveaway!
